6. services from third-party providers
6.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”) and collects and stores data via this web analysis service, from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms. The user profiles created in this way are used to evaluate visitor behavior in order to design and improve the offer presented on this website in line with requirements. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, small text files which are stored on your computer and which enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. The user profiles kept under a pseudonym are also not merged with the personal data about the user without the express and separately declared consent of the user. Thus, the balancing of interests shows that there are no overriding interests on your part (Art. 6 I p. 1 f GDPR). You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).You can also prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics. You can view Google’s privacy policy at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. You can find more information on terms of use and data protection at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. Please note that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “anonymizeIp” in order to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
6.2 Social media links
We have our own social media pages for the third-party providers that can be reached via links from this website. Using the links will take you to the respective websites of the third-party providers (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). To avoid unnecessary data transfer, we recommend that you log out of the respective third-party provider before using a link so that usage profiles cannot be created by the third-party provider simply by using the link.
6.3 Use of Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps, a map service from Google, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). When Google Maps is used, data on the use of the Maps functions by visitors to the website is also collected, processed and used. This does not affect any user interests that outweigh the technical necessity of integrating the interactive map material (Art. 6 I p. 1 f GDPR). You can view Google’s privacy policy at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. You can view the additional terms of use for Google Maps at http://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html
6.4 Use of YouTube
This website and the integrated offers contain so-called embeddings of videos on YouTube. These enable the connection to YouTube and the videos stored there. YouTube is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). This does not affect the interests of users, which outweigh the technical necessity of integrating the videos (Art. 6 I p. 1 f GDPR). The purpose and scope of data collection and data use by Google as well as your rights and settings options for protection as a YouTube customer can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy. You can find this at: http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy/.
6.5 Use of Facebook pixels
We use Facebook Pixel from the Facebook network (operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94304, USA). The entity responsible for processing the information collected by Facebook is Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. This function enables us to target visitors to this website on Facebook with advertising. For this purpose, personalized and interest-based Facebook ads are displayed when the Facebook pages are visited. The function is made possible on our website by a Facebook pixel, which is implemented on the page. A direct connection to the Facebook server is established via the pixel when you visit our website if you have consented to the pixel being set (Art. 6 I p. 1 a GDPR). This tells the Facebook server which of our websites the user has visited. Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. You can find more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy in Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/ .
If you do not want Facebook to assign the collected information directly to your Facebook user account, you can deactivate the function in your account settings at: https://www.facebook.com/login.php?next=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fsettings%2F%3Ftab%3Dads#_=_bearbeiten. You must be logged in to Facebook to do this.
6.6 Google Tag Manager
This website also uses Google Tag Manager (operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. This Google tool only implements tags. No cookies are used and no personal data is collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, it will remain in place for all tracking tags if they are implemented with Google Tag Manager.
6.7 Use of Facebook plugins
This website uses plugins from the social network www.facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc. 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The entity responsible for processing the information collected by Facebook is Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
If you access web pages on our website that contain such a plugin and have given your consent (Art. 6 I p. 1 a GDPR), a connection to the Facebook servers is established and the plugin is activated on the website by notifying your browser. This tells the Facebook server which of our websites you have visited. If you are logged in to Facebook as a member, Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. When using the plugin functions (e.g. clicking the “Like” button, posting a comment), this information is also assigned to your Facebook account, which you can only prevent by logging out before activating the plugin. You can find more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy in Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
6.8 Google Ads
6.8.1 Google Ads Conversion
We use the offer of Google Ads Conversion (operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to draw attention to our offers with the help of advertising material (so-called Google Ads) on external websites. These advertising materials are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers”. Ad server cookies are used for this purpose, which can be used to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as the display of ads or clicks by users. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your end device. These cookies generally lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information are usually stored as analysis values for this cookie. If you visit our site as a result of such an ad and the cookie stored on your computer has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each Ads customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Ads customers. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can recognize which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and can therefore only inform you that the integration of the above-mentioned service enables Google to assign the visit to our website to your Google account if you are registered there. There is also the possibility that Google will find out your IP address and store it, regardless of whether or not you have a user account.
You can view Google’s privacy policy here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy
6.8.2 Google Ads Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The function is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A so-called “cookie” is stored in the website visitor’s browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor pseudonymously when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor can be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use Google’s remarketing function. According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. Therefore, the balancing of interests shows that there are no overriding interests on your part (Art. 6 I p. 1 f GDPR). However, if you do not wish to use Google’s remarketing function, you can generally deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
You can view Google’s privacy policy here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy
6.9 Use of jQuery
We use the Java Script library jQuery (operated by the jQuery Foundation, Inc., 1 Letterman Drive San Francisco, CA 94129, USA). This is free open source software. In order to increase the loading speed of our website and thus provide you with a better user experience, we use Google’s CDN (content delivery network) (operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to load this library. It is very likely that you have already used jQuery on another page of the Google CDN. In this case, your browser can access the cached copy and it does not need to be downloaded again. If your browser has not saved a copy in the cache or downloads the file from Google CDN for another reason, data will be transferred from your browser to Google. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 I p. 1 f GDPR. Our legitimate interests lie in the aforementioned purposes.
Insofar as data is processed outside the EU, where there is no level of data protection corresponding to the European standard, Google uses standard contractual clauses according to its own information. Further information on data processing by Google, as well as information on the storage period of the processed data, can be found in Google’s privacy policy, currently available at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
